Agricultural products processing companies discuss the VAT issue

The Business Support Office, actively collaborating with the business community and public bodies, related to the problem of value added tax on the products generated on the basis of agricultural products, voiced by businessmen many times. Taking into account the fact that agricultural products are exempt from VAT, the burden on VAT when suppying theose goods for sale (e.g to supermarkets) remains on those organizations that process agricultural products.

On June 22, Th BSO initiated a working discussion at the office with representatives of several unions representing the interests of agricultural producers.

Discussions will continue with other agricultural product processors, as well as with their representating structures and the Federation of Agricultural Associations to formulate a multilateral approach to the problem.
